Explore Diverse Italian Wine Styles
Italy is known for its heavy-hitter red wines that can easily stand up to a hearty bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. Brunello, Amarone Della Valpolicella and Barbaresco are all well-known classic Italian appellations, each with a distinct style of its own. Power, structure, juicy dark fruit backed with oak influence and the ability to age for years makes these bottles very popular.
For the Italian Classic Wine Gift Set, the Millesima team has curated bottles from three of the top wine regions in the country: Tuscany, Veneto and Piedmont. These bottles are truly the classic wines that come to mind for an Italian wine lover. Enjoy the wonderful range of this wine selection, which will transport you to the heart of these regions.
The Italian Classic Wine Gift Set contains three unique bottles from well-known producers: Mocali is one of the benchmark producers of the Sangiovese grape, producing a diverse lineup of lovely Tuscan reds; Latium Morini is a family-run winery with a passion for the Italian countryside and creating beautiful wines that reflect the magic of the Veneto region; and Bruno Rocca is a family-owned wine estate in Barbaresco, which makes wines from various Piemontese appellations and varieties.
Mocali Brunello di Montalcino 2016
Sangiovese - Tuscany
Rich, velvety and savory, this Mocali Brunello di Montalcino is a gorgeous expression of an Italian wine. Dominant dark fruit flavors of black cherry, blackberry and bramble blend wonderfully with spice and tobacco flavors evolved over three years of aging. The big texture and tannins will have mellowed over time spent in the bottle, to create a smoother, more integrated profile.
Latium Morini Amarone Della Valpolicella Campo Leon 2013
Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta, Croatina - Veneto
The grapes of the Latium Amarone Della Valpolicella are dried for about 100 days to create an intense, rich dark fruit flavor. Aged for around 40 months in large oak barrels and in bottle before its release, this smooth and elegant wine is vibrant and bold with notes of red berries, cherries, nutmeg, spice and vanilla.
Bruno Rocca Barbaresco 2017
Nebbiolo - Piedmont
Aged in barrels (50% new) for 18 months, this Barbaresco exudes aromas of blackberry, plum and black cherry. It then offers enhanced notes of spices, violets, and faded roses. It is a warm, elegant wine with very good length.
