Established in Puligny-Montrachet since 1635, the Leflaive family has carried on the tradition of the great Burgundies by presenting one of the finest expressions of Chardonnay in the world.
At the head of an exceptional estate in Burgundy, Olivier Leflaive has established himself as an emblematic figure of the Côte de Beaune. Olivier Leflaive was born in 1945 when his family owned a vineyard of some 20 hectares. After taking over the reins of the family business of the Leflaive estate, Oliver Leflaive founded Olivier Leflaive Frères in 1985, his own business for winemaking and ageing, thus creating an "haute-couture" Burgundy wine merchant.
Olivier Leflaive's vineyard has been gradually built up and today extends across 17 hectares of vines located on the greatest terroirs of Burgundy. The company also buys grapes from the best winegrowers of the Côte de Beaune. In total, Olivier Leflaive has 120 hectares of vines to produce great white wines in the beautiful appellations of Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault, as well as in Chablis and the Côte Chalonnaise.
All the vines on the property are cultivated according to HVE (High Environmental Value) level 3 certification.
The Olivier Leflaive estate’s philosophy is to produce great Burgundy wines that reveal the authenticity of Burgundy's climates. Through a superb range of well-crafted wines, Domaine Olivier Leflaive offers a beautiful interpretation of the nuances of Burgundy's terroirs.
