The Val de Loire
vineyard ( 50 appellations, 41 000 hectares) is the third biggest wine growing region in France. It represents the balance point between North and South. A great diversity of wines - red, dry white, effervescent, rosé and dessert wine - result from harmonious blends that follow from a temperate climate and splendid terroirs. The originality of Loire wines is due to the fact that most of them are single-grape wines made from 6 main varietals: Melon de Bourgogne
, Cabernet Franc
, Sauvignon Blanc
and Pinot Noir
. These offer infinite nuances for an unlimited oenological pleasure.
