On the banks of the Nahe River in Germany, the Weingut Dönnhoff vineyard overlooks the luscious valley and stretches over steep hillsides. This picturesque landscape is also home to some of Germany's finest Riesling wines. For over 250 years, the banks of the Nahe River have provided Dönnhoff wines with an exceptional soil cultivated with the estate's age-old knowledge that has been passed down from generation to generation.

The success of the estate is due to the work of Helmut Dönnhoff, who was able to reveal all the complexity, purity and subtlety of the Riesling varietal from a terroir composed of sandstone and slate, sometimes alternating with volcanic rock. On the slopes of Oberhausen, the 25 hectares of Weingut Dönnhoff benefit from a variety of sun exposures that bathe the Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris vines in light. These 20 to 70-year-old vines are meticulously cared for and produce very limited yields.

The wines of Weingut Dönnhoff are among the finest white wines in the world. The mastery of each soil and all the nuances of the terroir delivers elegant wines. When tasted in their youth, the wines express subtle aromas of flowers and fruit, with a fresh and lively mouthfeel. After 10 or 15 years of ageing, they reveal their exceptional minerality.
