Each year, Millesima offers a significant range of “en primeur” wines / wine Futures. These are wines sourced directly from the producing estates, and delivered by Millesima a few weeks after bottling, roughly 18 to 24 months after its purchase by the customer. The price of each estate’s Wine Futures is set between April and July following the harvest, after professionals and critics from around the world have tasted and evaluated each reference. Millesima is one of the 5 biggest buyers of Wine Futures on the Place de Bordeaux, with more than 30 years of experience in this field, and an average annual purchase of 840,000 bottles.
Wine Futures often have the advantage of being available at special prices, less expensive than when they become “deliverable” (i.e. already bottled and stored in the bicentennial cellars of Millesima). This system also makes it possible to find rare wines, highly sought-after by connoisseurs around the world. Our Wine Futures Alert system is designed to notify our clients by text message as soon as a wine from a sought-after chateau becomes available "en primeur," offering clients the opportunity to quickly reserve wines that are available in limited quantities only. You may also want to consult our list of the latest wine futures releases and choose from our wide range of 2020 Wine Futures and 2021 Bordeaux Futures.
While the Wine Futures system is largely linked to the Bordeaux and its major appellations, in which we specialize (Pauillac, Margaux, Saint-Estèphe, Saint-Julien, Pessac-Léognan, Saint-Émilion, Pomerol...), we also offer a selection of wines futures from other regions, such as the fine wines of the Rhone Valley and Burgundy.
