A precise, elegant and fresh Rose Champagne by Billecart-Salmon

The estate

Since its creation in 1818 by husband and wife, Elisabeth Salmon and Nicolas-Francois Billecart, the Billecart-Salmon Champagne House has remained independent, having preserved all of its know-how and demand for high-quality cuvees for 7 generations.

The vineyard

The Billecart-Salmon vineyard covers 100 hectares from Cote des Blancs to the Reims mountain. The vines are cultivated and cared for in a traditional manner so that the wine resembles real fruit and to reflect the quality of its Champagne terroir.

Winemaking and aging

Vinification in tanks. Malolactic fermentation. 40% reserve wines. Aging on lees for 36 months. 9g/liter dosage.

Blend

This Brut Rose by the Billecart-Salmon House is the product of a blend of Chardonnay (40%), Pinot Meunier (30%) and Pinot Noir (30%).

Tasting

Color

Bright, with subtle golden tints and a persistent effervescence.

Nose

Fine, subtle and delicious, the nose breathes in fragrances of red fruits and citrus zest.

Palate

Serving

Serve at 8°C for an optimal tasting.

Food and wine pairings

Ideal as an aperitif, this Brut Rose by the Billecart-Salmon House goes perfectly with a wild salmon dish, sushis or even red fruits at dessert.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The latest release of the NV Brut Rosé is based on the 2015 vintage and was disgorged with 8.5 grams per liter dosage. Bursting with aromas of red berries, freshly baked bread, pomelo and peach, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with racy acids, pretty fruit tones and a youthfully frothy mousse.
