Born in Reims in 1953, Bruno Paillard stems from an old family of brokers and winemakers who had been established in Champagne for more than three centuries. He worked as a broker from 1975 to 1980. Then in 1981, Bruno Paillard decided to found his own Champagne house. The Bruno Paillard House is thus one of the most recent, family-owned and independent Champagne Houses.
The ambition of the Bruno Paillard house is to create unique champagnes that showcase an elegance, complexity and purity of their own.
Based in Reims, the Bruno Paillard Champagne House reigns over an exceptional vineyard that was gradually built up and currently comprises over 32 hectares of vines, spreading over 15 crus, 12 of which are classified as "Grands Crus". Magnifying the Chardonnay, the Pinot Noir and the Pinot Meunier varietals, the vineyard encompasses the great terroirs of Oger, Le Mesnil sur Oger, Cumières, Verzenay as well as the exceptional Cru des Riceys located in the south of Champagne.
Each terroir is the result of an ongoing reflection to ensure that the finest grapes are selected. The Bruno Paillard style is based on this constant quest for excellence through an uncompromising selection process. Bruno Paillard uses only the purest first presses to make its champagnes. The Bruno Paillard Champagne House stands out due to the great diversity of its reserve wines, allowing it to make extremely precise blends from one year to another. The house ages its wines for two to four times longer than the appellation's required ageing period. A pioneer, the Bruno Paillard Champagne House became the first in Champagne to mention the date of disgorgement of each bottle in order to know its origin by following the evolution of the wine.
Through a range of exceptional wines, all produces with extremely high standards, each champagne by Bruno Paillard illustrates with elegance and refinement the pursuit of excellence that drives the house.
Première Cuvée, N.P.U "Nec Plus Ultra", the Blancs de Blancs collection as well as the vintage champagnes, these rare champagnes quintessentially highlight the mastery and know-how of the Bruno Paillard Champagne House.
