Description
The 2012 Bourgogne Rouge, whose fruit comes mainly from Volnay, was just finishing its malolactic in barrel when I tasted it. Its nascent nose is plump and surprisingly precocious, almost playful, while the palate is sweet and pleasantly chewy, offering raspberry, Morello cherry and cranberry fruit on the finish. This should be a generous red Burgundy to quaff with pleasure over two years. Robert Parker
