Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy : Key Points

Situated in the Cote de Nuits in Burgundy, the Harmand-Geoffroy family have been cultivating 9 hectares of Pinot Noir since the end of the 19th century. Over the years, Gerard Harmand has educated his son, Philippe, about the various traditional vinification and viticultural techniques. Philippe took over the running of estate and continues to apply these practices to the vineyard today.

The father-son-duo firmly believes in allowing the terroir to express its full potential. Thus, the following practices are the very foundations of the family's winemaking philosophy: neither fertilizers nor insecticides are used on the vines, the teams carry out a ‘vendanges verte’ when necessary, plowing is carried out yearly to maintain the soil health and the grapes are harvested manually.

The deeply-rooted vines of Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy reward the diligent winemakers, and the wines offer a genuine and transparent expression of Gevrey-Chambertin and Mazis-Chambertin.
