Domaine des Epeneaux was named after Clos des Epeneaux, a 5-hectare parcel acquired in 1828 by Count Armand's family. Today, the estate covers 7.5 hectares and focuses on producing vintages that are most reflective of the land. Compte Armand methods are centered on crop canopy and soil without neglecting the importance of vines. In order to preserve the quality of the terroir, Compte Armand forgoes the use of herbicides or even synthetic molecules to protect the vines. Since 2001, the property has integrated the lunar cycle in the growing and ageing season. All of these commitments allow for the creation of more precise and mineral vintages.
