Silver Oak Cellars

Silver Oak Cellars was founded in 1972 by Raymond T. Duncan and Justin Meyer with an unconventional vision - complete dedication to a single grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon. What's more, Silver Oak would be an entirely new kind of Cabernet - rich and powerful, ageable but approachable upon release aged entirely in American oak barrels and aged over one year in bottle in the cellar as well. In 1994, Justin Meyer selected Daniel Baron to succeed him as winemaker, and in 2001 he sold his share to the Duncan family, whose dedication to the vision of Ray and Justin has lead to the construction of a new winery in 2008 and Silver Oak Cellars' continued reputation for excellence.
