Having gained a wealth of experience as a full-time winemaker for Caymus Vineyards in Rutherford, Randy Dunn is the genius behind some of the finest Caymus vintages, which testify to his boundless talent. He acquired his own 14-acre plot in Angwin, Napa Valley, and planted it with Cabernet Sauvignon.

The estate now covers 42 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and produces two estate wines: a Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon & a Napa Valley Cabernet. The Howell Mountain Cabernets comprise grapes farmed in the Howell Mountain sub-AVA and the Napa Valley Cabernets are made up of a blend of grapes from Howell Mountain and a small proportion of grapes stemming from the valley.

The Dunn Vineyards estate is an all-hands-on-deck affair, as each family member, including the third-generation Dunns, is involved in the production of these Napa wines. These Cabernets reflect Randy Dunn’s love for Napa Valley. The rich and elegant wines are terroir-driven and boast an intense concentration and a bold and full expression.
