The Nickel & Nickel winery, located in Napa Valley's famous Oakville district, is dedicated to producing 100% single-variety, single-vineyard wines in order to best express the personality of each vineyard. Established by the partners behind Far Niente in 1997, Nickel & Nickel is primarily devoted to the production of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, while a small collection of single-vineyard Chardonnay, Merlot, and Syrah round out the portfolio. Nickel & Nickel is situated on 42 acres of vineyard, originally settled as a farmstead in the 1880s, now along Highway 29 on the western side of the Valley. Nickel & Nickel purchased the land in 1998 in order to restore the properties and construct a new, modern winery to blend in with the historic buildings on the property dedicated to the production of single-vineyard wines.
