A fresh and fruity white wine from New Zealand
The estate
It was in 1985 that the Cloudy Bay estate was founded by David Hohnen, on the lands of Marlborough in New Zealand. In a breathtakingly beautiful landscape shared between the Pacific Ocean and the Richmond Range mountain range, Cloudy Bay is located at the entrance to the bay bearing the same name. A true pioneer, the New Zealand estate was one of the first to settle on the Marlborough terroir and now has over 310 hectares of vineyards. The vineyard is resolutely committed to protecting the environment by integrating good practices, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. In just three decades, Cloudy Bay has thus established itself as an emblematic reference for New World wines.
The vineyard
This New Zealand wine comes from vines located in the heart of the iconic Wairau Valley, in Marlborough. The gravelly and stony soils, as well as the sunny and dry climate, provide the ideal conditions for the production of sublime Sauvignon Blancs.
Vinification and aging
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels (only 5%). It was partly triggered by the influence of indigenous yeasts to express all the uniqueness of this Marlborough terroir.
Blend
Sauvignon Blanc (100%).
