Liquid Farm Wines

Liquid Farm grew from an effort to reconcile the desire to support local viticulture with a love of "Old World" style wines which have naturally higher acidities and characters which are not masked by modern day manipulations. In an effort to find this combination, Nikki and Jeff Nelson took it upon themselves to create Liquid Farm and produce the wines that they most like to drink: cool-climate Chardonnay with flavors defined by earth and mineral with little or no new oak. To achieve this they were drawn to the Sta. Rita Hills AVA in Santa Barbara County, one of California's coolest AVAs, as well as a region comprised of some of the most "Chardonnay-suited" soils in North America.
