Dominus Estate : Napa Valley 2009

Dominus 2009 is an exemplification of the finest qualities of Cabernet Sauvignon. 2009 was an ideal vintage in Napanook, with a long, warm summer producing perfectly ripe, complex fruit. A blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot, Dominus 2009 is powerful while at the same time restrained on the nose with aromas of pure dark berries and light hints of sandalwood. Fresh plum and a bright minerality dominate the palate and are well supported by firm, round and elegant tannins. This sublime wine should be decanted before drinking to allow its full potential to develop.
