Route 29 from RouteStock in Napa Valley is a Bordeaux blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Its bouquet of plum, dark chocolate, and cedar wood are enamoring. On the palate, we find the same flavors as the aromas with light notes of savory mushroom. The wine is full-bodied, rich and fruity. The lively acidity, and its well-balanced tannins result in a magnificently long finish.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, an inexpensive blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot and the rest Petite Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec, is soft and juicy, with a deep ruby/plum/purple color, loads of cassis and black cherry fruit, soft tannins, excellent concentration and good purity. This is a sleeper of the vintage and a terrific value from Napa! Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
