Description
From a vintage heralded throughout the Piedmont (and the international press) the Le Piane Boca 2007 is a blend of 85% Nebbiolo and 15% Vespolina. The harvest for 2007 took place roughly one full month earlier than is typical for Le Piane, but the cooler nights at Boca's high elevation allowed the grapes to retain a freshness while achieving full ripeness despite the early harvest. Winner of the Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri, the Le Piane Boca 2007 is, thanks to the style of the vintage, more approachable at this early stage than is typical of the property's wines, though there is enough underlying material to ensure that the wine will reward aging as well.
