The appellation of Moulis en Medoc is the oldest Medoc, officially designated in 1938. Beyond their diversity, Moulis wines are characterized by their harmony, generosity and charm. The continental climate is conducive to optimal ripening of the grapes. The soil contains gravel outcrops on a sandy clay plain. Suitable for growing Merlot, the soils gives the wine a freshness and a softness with aromas of red fruits. Robust Cabernet Sauvignon gives the wines a beautiful structure. Finally, Petit Verdot brings acidity that adds complexity to the wines of Moulis.
