The elegance of a great Saint-Estèphe terroir at Château Lilian Ladouys
The estate
Located in the famous region of Bordeaux, Château Lilian Ladouys has its first historical references dating back to 1654. This 80-hectare vineyard has established itself as a reliable name within its appellation, crowned with the status of Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel in 2020. Today, Château Lilian Ladouys is passionately run by Jacky and Françoise Lorenzetti, joined by their daughter Manon. Committed to environmentally friendly viticulture, the estate officially obtained its organic farming certification in 2024, illustrating its determination to combine quality, accessibility and respect for nature.
The vineyard
The vineyard, rooted in the Saint-Estèphe appellation, comprises 48 hectares of vines in production divided into 90 plots. The vines, aged between 25 and 45 years, thrive on a mosaic of soils made up of 80% gravel (Peyrosols) ensuring excellent drainage, and 20% clay-limestone bedrock that promotes water retention and mineral complexity. The whole is farmed according to the demanding principles of organic agriculture.
The vintage
The 2025 year produced a balanced vintage, marked by beautiful freshness and perfectly controlled water stress. These climatic conditions allowed for very precise ripening, yielding small but highly concentrated berries. The harvest took place from 9 to 22 September for Merlot, from 12 to 23 September for Cabernet Sauvignon, from 17 to 22 September for Cabernet Franc, and from 19 to 22 September for Petit Verdot. Alcohol content: 12.46% vol.
Winemaking and aging
Aged in new oak (30%) and amphorae (5%).
Grape varieties
This wine is made from a blend of 61% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Petit Verdot.
