Chateau Saint-Pierre 2007

 A case of 6 Magnums (1.5L)

This Saint-Julien colour is dark and intense. It is pure on the nose and releases right away prevailing aromas of black fruit with a hint of liquorice. The 2007 Château Saint-Pierre palate is dense and fruity. Its structure is well-developed. The finish is enjoyable and charming. It is a naturally harmonious vintage to keep you waiting for the 2005, 2009 and 2010 Saint-Pierre which are denser, and take longer to reveal their quintessence.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 2007 Bordeaux tasting. I must have underrated the 2007 Saint-Pierre because this showed extremely well. This is totally different from the last showing, which was also conducted blind. It has a perfumed, quite feminine bouquet with wilted rose petals infusing the red berry fruit. This seems very composed and refined. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, fine focus and plenty of freshness and vigor towards the lightly spiced finish. This is a very well crafted Saint Julien that should offer another ten years of pleasure. Tasted March 2015.
