Description
The Reserva Malbec from Bodega Ruca Malén is one four reds and one white in the winery's Reserva line. In the glass one will notice a deep ruby color intermixed with hues of violet. The nose opens with complex aromas ranging from cherries and plum to violets. The freshness of this wine can be attributed to an acidity that lies in balance with the rich ripe fruit and velvety tannins. As a result, the Bodega Ruca Malén 2011 Reserva Malbec is a juicy wine with concentration, complexity, and a lingering finish. While the 2011 vintage seemed to be problematic early on, dealing with issues of frost and hail, it actually resulted in wines with a fresher acidity and great structure.
