The Mendoza region is the largest wine region of Argentina. It represents around 70% of the total argentinian vineyard. It stretches on 148 000 hectares, right at the foot and on the slopes of the Andes. The great majority of the wineries are concentrated around the city of Mendoza. For red wines, the Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon are mainly grown. Regarding white wines, the Chardonnay varietal is predominant. The wines coming from this spectacular region are highly qualitative.
