Mendoza Wines - Appellation : Key Points

At an altitude of between 500 and 2,000 metres, the Mendoza vineyards combine multiple factors to produce high quality wines. On deep, permeable limestone soils, this vineyard enjoys a continental climate with low rainfall. The long hours of sunshine (300 days per year) combined with cool nights advance the ripening and concentration of the grapes.

Spared by phylloxera, the same grape varieties of European origin can still be found today in the Argentine vineyards: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay and above all Malbec, which has adapted particularly well to the terroirs and has a singular aromatic identity.
