Located on the left bank of Bordeaux, Chateau Maucaillou expands over a vineyard of 66 hectares in great Guntz gravel and clay-limestone soils.

With plenty of significant climatic contrasts, 2018 nevertheless marks the birth of an exceptional vintage. At Chateau Maucaillou, the harvest was spread over 3 weeks in order to pick each grape varietal and plot at the right time. The harvest gave lower yields than usual and smaller fruit.

The Chateau Maucaillou 2018 is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) and Merlot (50%). A great success for the property, the Chateau Maucaillou 2018 presents the profile of a vintage with a brilliant complexity and very pure fruit.
