2011 Pomerol, Bordeaux.
The Château Fayat vineyard is located on the Pomerol terroir and stretches over 13 hectares, composed of 50 year old vines on average. This 2011 is 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc.
The wine displays a dark purple colour. The nose is fleshy and round, and develops on ripe cherry notes as well as red berry jam hints. The whole is enhanced by a pleasant, round finish on the nose, underlined by mild spices notes. The 2011 Chateau Fayat reveals a fleshy, really ample palate followed by well-integrated, silky-grained tannins.
