Color
This red wine reveals a deep red hue, characteristic of a concentrated, carefully vinified Pinot Noir.
Nose
The nose is intense and aromatic, opening with smoky notes, licorice, and tobacco. It then gives way to concentrated black fruit, enhanced by sappy nuances from whole-bunch maceration.

The estate
Founded in 1776 in Reims, Louis Roederer is one of the last great Champagne houses to have remained both family-owned and independent. It is now led by Frédéric Rouzaud, the seventh generation of the family at its helm. Renowned for its extensive estate-owned vineyards spread across the finest Champagne terroirs and for its early commitment to organic and biodynamic farming, Louis Roederer also stands out for its advanced parcel-by-parcel vinification, which informs both its champagnes and its still wines.
The vineyard
This cuvée comes from the Milnon lieu-dit in Dizy, in the Vallée de la Marne, one of the terroirs selected by the House for its Coteaux Champenois Hommage à Camille collection. This 0.29-hectare plot was planted in 2009 using particular massal selections from the estate, and is farmed organically, with a gentle approach to viticulture that is attentive to the terroir.

The 2022 vintage stands out for its exceptional ripeness, which this cuvée seeks precisely to capture through its concentration and pronounced mineral signature.
Vinification and maturation
Hommage à Camille "Milnon" 2022 is produced in a limited edition, using a bespoke vinification specific to the Hommage à Camille collection. A proportion of whole-bunch maceration helps give the wine its characteristic sappy nuances, while the organic farming of the plot and the long time devoted to its creation reflect the House's pursuit of taste.
