Lallier Champagne : Key Points

Maison Lallier is located in Aÿ, a terroir with very distant origins. Already mentioned in the works of the Roman writer Pliny the Elder (23-79), this Champagne vineyard was also cultivated around 344 by the Gallo-Romans. In 1936, Aÿ became one of the first of the 17 communes of Champagne to be classified as Grand Cru.

In 1906, René Lallier, husband of the heiress of a Champagne family, founded the eponymous house. From 1996 onwards, Réné-James Lallier, the founder's grandson, carried out major modernisation work on the winemaking facilities. In a constant quest for excellence, Réné-James Lallier is accompanied by Francis Tribaut, a passionate Champagne maker who also advises other Champagne houses. In 2004, Francis Tribaut acquired the Lallier Champagne House with the ambition of enhancing its potential through vintages that reflect the richness and typicity of the fine Champagne terroirs.
