Henriot, a bicentenary Champagne House with exceptional vintages
Under the impetus of Apolline Henriot, the Henriot Champagne House was officially founded in 1808. In 1880, the marriage of Paul Henriot to Marie Marguet enabled the Henriot House to expand the vineyard by gathering some of the greatest Chardonnay terroirs of the Côte des Blancs. This noble grape variety will later be at the heart of Henriot’s style which is reflected in each of the house’s cuvées. Henriot champagnes were greatly appreciated by the Dutch Court and later became a reference among European aristocracy, in particular the Austrian Court and the Habsburgs' Court of Hungary.
Still a family-owned property, Maison Henriot has cultivated its desire for excellence for eight generations through its know-how, its bold decision-making throughout the production of its wines and its international expansion.
Comprising a 35-hectare vineyard, the champagnes by the Henriot Champagne House are partly produced from the most beautiful Premiers and Grands Crus terroirs of the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims. With a specific ageing period and a quantity of reserve wines for each cuvée, Henriot champagnes stand out due to their finesse, their exceptional elegance, their complexity and their dazzling richness. The Blanc de Blancs champagne is the emblematic cuvée of the Henriot House and reflects the richness of its terroirs along with the Henriot family's high standards regarding the cultivation of the Chardonnay varietal.
Henriot is part of the 200-year-old company "Maisons et Domaines Henriot", which includes other fine houses that are ambassadors of their terroirs, such as Bouchard Père et Fils and William Fèvre in Burgundy, as well as the Beaux Frères estate in Oregon.
