Founded in 1971 by Giovanni Neri, the Casanova di Neri estate joins the ranks of the greatest names in the famous Brunello di Montalcino appellation. Giovanni Neri's son, Giacomo, took over the reins of the family estate in 1991 and raised the property to the highest level. Located south of Siena, opposite the village of Montalcino, the Casanova di Neri estate enjoys an exceptional location on the beautiful terroirs of Tuscany, in the centre of Italy.
With nearly 63 hectares, Casanova di Neri oversees an exceptional vineyard with prestigious wines such as the famous Cerretalto, Le Cetine, Pietradonice and Podernuovo which have earned the estate international recognition. On these great clay-limestone and galestro soils, the Casanova di Neri estate grows the emblematic red grape variety of the area, Sangiovese Grosso.
Produced with the utmost respect for the fruit and the land, each Casanova di Neri wine reveals the unique expression of its grape variety, terroir, soil and microclimate.
Between tradition and innovation, Casanova di Neri offers a new vision of Brunello di Montalcino, producing rare, intense, powerful wines that sublimely bring out the precise expression of Montalcino’s Sangiovese grape.
