The appellation of Chambolle-Musigny is situated in the Cote de Nuits in Burgundy's Cote d'Or. The name of the appellations comes from the Campus Ebolliens which describes the liveliness of the river that runs through the village. Chambolle-Musigny produces a red wine often described as the most "feminine" of the Cote de Nuits. Its intensity and finesse are expressed with an elegant subtlety. Chambolle-Musigny has two superbe Grand Crus: Bonnes-Mares, forming the link with Morey-Saint-Denis, and Musigny, at the top of the Clos Vougeot.
