Tasting
Color
Golden color with amber highlights, a sign of its extended aging. Its fine and delicate bubbles form a persistent elegant bead.
Nose
The nose exudes smoky notes, roasted coffee, and grilled cocoa. Gradually, aromas of dried yellow fruits bring a gourmet touch, enriched by subtle hints of spices and garrigue.
Palate
The attack is broad and dense, combining power and marked freshness. Juicy fruits offer a generous and lively texture. The finish reveals a saline note associated with bursts of clementine, for a refined and savory persistence.
Service and cellaring
To be served between 10°C and 12°C. This cuvée can rest in cellars until 2040 and beyond.

The estate
An iconic house, Charles Heidsieck preserves a prestigious heritage within millennia-old chalk cellars. A pioneer, this house drew attention in the late 1980s by showcasing the remarkable aromatic evolution potential of its multi-vintage Brut. In 1987, Charles Heidsieck was the first Champagne house to indicate the year of cellaring to track the wine’s evolution over time.
The vineyard
The Charles Heidsieck estate cultivates approximately 60 hectares of vineyards spread across the Marne and Aube. This vineyard is certified in sustainable viticulture and benefits from the High Environmental Value label. In addition to its own vines, it sources grapes through long-term contracts with rigorously selected growers and cooperatives in Champagne.
The wine
This 1995 edition of the “Collection Crayères” once again opens the Charles Heidsieck Oenothèque. A tribute to the founder, this champagne Brut was cellared in 1996 and disgorged in 2021. Its dosage is 9.5 g/L.
The vintage
1995 represents the best season in Champagne since 1990, thanks to a warm and dry summer that promoted rapid ripening, followed by a late and sunny harvest, offering good maturity with balanced acidity.
