Description
The Odoardi Savuto comes from the Calabria wine region, far south of Italy. The Savuto region is named after the Savuto River forming the border between Cosenza and Catanzaro which descends out to the Tyrrhenian Sea. This wine is a blend of 45% Gaglioppo, 25% Aglianico, 20% Magliocco Canino, 5% Greco Nero and 5% Nerello Cappuccio. Fermentation and aging takes place in steel vats for only four months, producing a fresh, fruit-forward style of wine. The Odoardi Savuto has notes of blackberry, blueberry, and hints of spice with medium tannin and body. An easy drinking red with plenty of dark fruits on the palate- enjoy with burgers or grilled meats.
