Description
The Damijan Podversic Malvasia comes from northeastern Italy in the Venezia Giulia region. Although this area is dominated by white wines made from Pinot Grigio, Malvasia is slowly making a comeback. The Damijan Podversic is made from 100% Malvasia Istriana from soils of calcareous marl and sandstone. Certified organic, the Damijan Podversic Malvasia is co-fermented on its skins in wooden vats for 60 days followed by maturation in large oak for 23 months and bottled unfiltered and unfined. Highly concentrated, structured and unique, the Damijan Podversic Malvasia is aromatic with pleasant fruity and mineral notes. Full bodied, intense while remaining elegant and smooth, enjoy this barrel aged white with seafood risotto, grilled fish or simple appetizers.
