Founded in 1812, the Laurent-Perrier Champagne House reached its golden age in 1948, thanks to Bernard de Nonancourt's dynamism. Under the leadership of this visionary businessman, the house stood out by producing vintages that reflected its values of excellence and innovation.
Since its very beginnings, the house has built its identity around Chardonnay. Through the freshness and finesse that it brings to the blend, this grape variety has become the signature style of this Champagne reference.
Laurent-Perrier's avant-garde approach is reflected in Grand Siècle and its multi-vintage blends, its Ultra Brut with a "zero dosage" style and also its Cuvee Rose, the first rose champagne in this category. These original "breakthrough" cuvées, each creation being subject to an event, mark a new page in the history of Laurent Perrier and its quest for excellence, for which it is internationally renowned.
The quintessence of Bernard de Nonancourt’s cherished values are in the Laurent-Perrier cuvées, unanimously recognized by connoisseurs.
A symbol of a daring family-owned champagne house, passionately managed and a forerunner in the rose maceration champagne category, the prestigious Cuvee Rose by Laurent-Perrier was born at the dawn of the 1968 vintage. Since then, this exceptional champagne has established itself as a reference among the world's greatest rose champagnes.
Cuvee Rose de Laurent-Perrier is made from 100% Pinot Noir from the best Montagne de Reims crus.
This rose champagne is the result of a very technical production method: maceration. Once harvested, the grapes are destemmed and then placed in a maceration vat. In this vat, the juice macerates with the grape skins for 48 to 72 hours in order to bring out the aromatic expression of the best Pinot Noir crus. The juice is then run off (separated from the skins), fermented and vinified in a separate vat.
Cuvee Rose is aged for 5 years in cellars.
Elegant, the color has a raspberry hue which develops to salmon nuances as the wine ages.
Frank and with a superb freshness, this champagne presents fragrances from a wide range of red fruits (raspberry, redcurrant, strawberry, black cherry).
The frank and acidic attack precedes a supple and beautifully rounded palate.
For an optimal tasting experience, serve between 8 and 10°C.
Food and wine pairing
Due to its wide aromatic range, Cuvee Ros by Laurent-Perrier will complement many dishes: marinated raw fish, grilled prawns, Parma ham or even desserts. Other original combinations can also be imagined with Asian, Indian or even exotic cuisine.
