The Estate
The Domaine Antonin Guyon was established in 1960 in Savigny-lès-Beaune, in the heart of Burgundy, when Antonin Guyon began acquiring vineyard parcels across the Côte d'Or. The estate remains entirely family-owned and today spans close to 48 hectares across roughly 25 appellations, ranging from village wines to grand crus. It is currently led by Dominique and Michel Guyon, with the third generation represented by Hombeline Guyon. The domaine has been certified organic since 2018, reflecting a long-standing commitment to its Burgundy terroirs.
The Vineyard
This Gevrey-Chambertin Village "La Justice" comes from a 2.58-hectare parcel (6.37 acres) planted entirely in pinot noir within the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation, in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits. The plot lies on relatively flat, lower-slope ground near the alluvial cone formed by the Combe Lavaux, where clay-limestone soils of medium depth combine good water retention with sufficient drainage. The grapes are harvested by hand, consistent with the domaine's broader practices across its Burgundy holdings.
Winemaking and aging
The Gevrey-Chambertin Village "La Justice" 2023 is vinified in the traditional manner favored by the estate, with long macerations carried out in open wooden vats to extract color and structure gently. The wine is then aged for eighteen months in oak barrels, around 30 percent of which are new, a process designed to build a silky texture while preserving the precision of the fruit.
Grape Varieties
This wine is produced from 100 % pinot noir, the signature red grape of Burgundy's Côte de Nuits.
