Cotes du Rhone Villages

The Côtes du Rhône Villages appellation extends over an area of nearly 3400 hectares in the heart of the Rhone Valley. Created in 1966, it is divided into 95 municipalities in the departments of Ardeche, Drôme, Gard and Vaucluse. Enjoying a Mediterranean climate, the vines are planted on clay-limestone soils mixed with pebbles. Planted with all of the grape varieties of the Rhone Valley, the Côtes du Rhône Villages appellation produces red wines (marked by their generosity, elegance, finesse, and very present tannins), whites (with floral notes) and rosés (which tend to be pleasantly fruity).
