L'élégance d'un grand Bourgogne Blanc par Dugat-Py
La propriété
The Dugat-Py estate, located in Gevrey-Chambertin in Burgundy, was officially established in its current form in 1994, although the family has been growing vines there since the 19th century. Today it is run by Loïc Dugat, who joined the estate in 1996. This prestigious domaine covers around 10.5 hectares, planted with very old vines. A pioneer in the region, it began converting to organic viticulture in 1999 and obtained full certification in 2003. The estate is renowned for its highly natural approach, including the use of biodynamic herbal teas, horse ploughing and the absence of trimming.
Le vignoble
This Bourgogne wine comes from two distinct parcels, one located in Gevrey-Chambertin and the other in Puligny-Montrachet, in the Côte de Beaune sub-region. The vines, around 20 years old, grow on clay and limestone soils. The entire vineyard is managed using sustainable, organic and biodynamic practices, with the utmost respect for the environment.
Vinification et élevage
For this Bourgogne 2023, the winemaking process is designed to respect the fruit and its original terroir. The wine is fermented and then aged in oak barrels, which contributes to its complexity.
