Description
The expression and balance of a Premier Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion
The estate
On the right bank of Bordeaux, where wine estates are often modest, Château Troplong Mondot stands out for its stature. Founded in 1700, this exceptional estate is one of the largest and most emblematic in Saint-Émilion. Its ranking as a Premier Grand Cru Classé crowns a centuries-old history of excellence and prestige.
The vineyard
Perched at 110 meters above sea level, the vineyard benefits from a remarkable clay-limestone terroir. This altitude, combined with the richness of the soils, allows for a precise expression of the fruit and gives birth to Saint-Émilion wines that are both powerful, structured and of great finesse.
Grape varieties
The vineyard is planted with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
