Description

A Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru at a Turning Point in Its History

The property

On the Right Bank of Bordeaux where most estates barely exceed 10 hectares, the Château Troplong Mondot is one of the largest domains in Saint-Émilion. Founded in 1700, the Château Troplong Mondot, Premier Grand Cru Classé, stands at the summit of the greatest wines of Saint-Émilion.

The 2017 vintage marks the arrival of the French reinsurance company Scor as the new shareholder of the estate, the appointment of a new management team led by Aymeric de Gironde, and the launch of a technical renovation program.

The vineyard

Rising to 110 meters above sea level, the vineyard of Château Troplong Mondot covers 43 hectares in a single block. The vineyard is entirely managed under sustainable viticulture. The vines, averaging 30 years of age, are cultivated on the typical clay-limestone soils of the Saint-Émilion appellation.

Blend

Merlot
Cabernet franc
