The elegance of Chardonnay by Champagne Thiénot
The estate
Officially founded in 1985 by Alain Thiénot, this contemporary house is located in the Champagne region, with administrative headquarters in Taissy and historic cellars in the heart of Reims. Today, the estate is run by the second generation, Garance and Stanislas Thiénot. The domain relies on its own 27-hectare vineyard, a large part of which is classified as grand cru and premier cru. This family-owned and independent brand stands out for its commitment to quality, its culture of selection and its style combining freshness and finesse.
The vineyard
The grapes used for this cuvée come from the Champagne region. The House draws on prestigious terroirs for its sourcing, notably grand crus located in the Côte des Blancs, such as Le Mesnil and Avize, areas renowned for delivering great aromatic purity and beautiful tension to the berries.
The blend
This cuvée is composed of 85% wines from the base harvest of 2021, complemented by 15% reserve wines.
Winemaking and aging
The making of this Blanc de Blancs Brut begins with a fully completed malolactic fermentation. Bottling took place in April 2022, followed by more than three years of ageing on the lees in the house's cellars.
Grape variety
100% Chardonnay.
