Description

Characteristics and Tasting Notes for the Pommery Cuvée Louise Brut Rosé 2004

Tasting Notes

Appearance
With a beautiful peach and rose hue, the color is enhanced by a lively and elegant effervescence.

Nose
Gourmand and inviting, the nose blends fruity aromas (wild strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant) and floral notes with refreshing hints of garrigue.

Palate
The palate harmoniously combines balance, finesse, smoothness, and elegance. The finish is persistent, exhaling aromas of red berries and cranberry.

Food and Wine Pairings

A rosé duck breast served with a cranberry sauce, lobster with Bellevue sauce, or a red fruit soup make for refined pairings with this cuvée.

The richness and balance of a Brut Rosé Champagne

The Estate

The House of Champagne Pommery, founded in 1858, built its renown on the boldness and vision of Madame Pommery, who took over the estate following her husband's death. Determined to create truly unique cuvées, she placed great emphasis on the exceptional quality of the grapes and the development of a remarkable vineyard in Champagne. Now part of the Vranken-Pommery Monopole group, Pommery's cuvées are celebrated for their finesse, vivacity, and an aromatic richness that is both elegant and complex.

The Vineyard

A true showcase of the House's style and excellence, the Cuvée Louise expresses the terroir identity of three Grands Crus in Champagne: Ay, Avize, and Cramant.

The Wine

Cuvée Louise was created in 1979 with the ambition of embodying the quintessence of this celebrated Champagne House's style. This prestige cuvée, crafted exclusively in exceptional vintage years, was named after the daughter of the brand's founders. The unexpected birth of Louise gave her parents a new drive to secure a future for their family. It was this that led Monsieur Pommery to move away from the declining wool trade and turn to champagne in 1857. Sadly, he passed away just a year after Louise's birth, marking the beginning of the celebrated story of Veuve Pommery, one of the great female figures inseparable from the history of Champagne, alongside Veuve Clicquot among others.

This rosé champagne beautifully expresses, with refinement and richness, the aromatic signature of Champagne's greatest terroirs.
