A Complex and Elegant Vintage 2009
Product of a very sunny vintage, with a very cold and dry winter, a hot summer and almost nonexistent rainfall, the 2009 vintage cuvee was made from grapes that managed to reach optimal maturity. The wine has aged 4 years in the cellar and 6 additional months after disgorgement to perfect its complexity and maturity. Its dosage is 9g / l. The Vintage 2009 from Louis Roederer blends 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay.
With its golden color and subtle copper reflections, this wine presents a brilliant and dynamic effervescence. On the nose, it offers a complex, generous and deep bouquet dominated by red and yellow fruits with smoky undertones. On the palate, the Vintage 2009 reveals a velvety, creamy and elegant attack with a pleasant mineral freshness and a vertical structure very characteristic of Pinot Noir from Verzenay. This Champagne is both full-bodied and complex with fruity richness that balances with the salty freshness of the terroir.
