The aromatic palette and creaminess of a Blanc de Noirs Champagne
The estate
Founded in the early 1950s, the Champagne Geoffroy house has been crafting high-quality cuvées for 4 generations. A vineyard tended with the utmost care, together with highly precise plot-by-plot winemaking, gives rise to champagnes that express the purest expression of the terroir and vibrant fruit.
The vineyard
Located in the heart of the Marne Valley, in Champagne, the house oversees a 14-hectare vineyard spread across a mosaic of 35 plots. In a commitment to respecting its terroir and authentically expressing each plot, vineyard management fosters microbial life in the soils while keeping intervention to a minimum.
The wine
The Geoffroy Empreinte Premier Cru Blanc de Noirs cuvée comes from a selection of particularly early-ripening plots in Cumières (Barremonts, Demoiselles, Houtrants). The vines, with an average age of 30 years, are planted on clay-limestone soil with flint fragments.
This Blanc de Noirs Champagne is crafted from base wines from the 2016 vintage.
Grape variety
This 2017 vintage Champagne is 100% Pinot Noir.
