Description
An innovation of multiple varietals by the Egly-Ouriet estate
The property
A crucial reference in Champagne, Francis Egly continues the pursuit of excellence of this family estate founded after the Second World War.
With a surface area of just over 15 hectares, the vineyard of the Egly-Ouriet House, located on Grands Crus (Ambonnay, Bouzy and Verzenay) and a Premier Cru (Vrigny) is composed of vines aged 40 to 60 years on average.
Composed mainly of chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier, the Egly-Ouriet champagnes, resulting from a rigorous mass selection and meticulous care given to both the vine and the winemaking, perfectly express the great Champagne terroirs with rare elegance and precision.
The wine
Launched in September 2020, Les Prémices is a new cuvée made from grapes from the Champagne village of Trigny in the Massif de Saint-Thierry.
Vinification and aging
From the 2016 harvest, the Brut Les Prémices d'Egly-Ouriet was bottled in 2017 and its dosage is 2g/l.
Blend
This Brut Les Prémices from the Egly-Ouriet House is the result of an equal blend of chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier.
