Renieri di Montalcino : Brunello di Montalcino 2016

Set in a splendidly picturesque part of Tuscany, the Renieri estate is poised in the south of Montalcino, in the province of Siena. The estate looks out on the Monte Amiata, the highest volcano in Italy, and spreads across 120 hectares of land, 30 of which are under vine. The Sangiovese vines are planted 400 meters above sea level and are rooted in soils composed of volcanic rock, limestone, red clay and schist.

Showcasing an intense and ruby color in the glass, this Sangiovese wine is chock-full of fruity and floral aromas. Prune, ripe cherries, plumbs, violet and rose come to the fore and complement the licorice notes of this fine wine beautifully. This rich, full-bodied and velvety-smooth wine will pair with grilled meats such as beef, lamb or pork.
