Description
A Balanced Chassagne-Montrachet White Wine
The Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Morgeot" from Maison Louis Latour is a single variety white wine from Chardonnay grapes produced in the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation. The name "Morgeot" comes from the Latin "margo" which means "border". The vineyard is located on the border between the Cote d'Or and Saone-et-Loire departments, and rests on a terroir of clay and chalk soils.
At tasting, the 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Morgeot" from Maison Louis Latour reveals a sublime pale gold color. On the nose, there are honey, vanilla and white flower aromas. On the palate, yellow fruit, almond and hazelnut flavors are perfectly balanced. The finish leaves a pleasant saline aftertaste. Keep until 2020-2022.
