At the tasting, this exceptional Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2003 from Louis Latour offers a splendid, bright golden color in the glass. The nose delivers sublime aromas of honey, vanilla and hazelnuts. On the palate, this noble white wine expresses a great minerality. We note a superb edginess, while being very round, generous and fleshy. A suite of nuanced flavors reveal themselves, including fruit, spices, woody flavors and touches of hazelnuts and vanilla. To be enjoyed now, but with a great aging potential that will allow you to keep it a little while longer.
