Domaine Comte Georges de Vogue : Bonnes-Mares Grand cru 2015

Deep red, almost to the embarrassment of the winemaker, but it's on account of the small berries and ratio of skins to juice. Heady and sumptuous nose, with cherries and black fruits, flamboyant and generous. A bold attack, forthright, very concentrated and assertive, but it has a wild character that's in contrast to the more refined style of most Chambolles. The power and exuberance are irresistible; full of energy and flair, with a very long finish showing firm tannins.

A parcel in the south-east corner so all terres rouges. Very deep purplish crimson. Warm, ripe, expressive nose. Juicy and lively with great pace. Such a winner! More obvious fruit than Amoureuses. Super-juicy. Winning. (JR)

An exotic, heady, floral nose, yet very spicy in Bonnes-Mares: sunny but without excess, rugged and very tightly knit, this wine of great potential has retained an underlying freshness, while the natural character of the cru is enhanced by the vintage profile.
