The Bonnes-Mares appellation covers some fifteen hectares, spread over the communes of Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis. Bonnes-Mares produces exclusively red wines classified as Grands Crus of the Côte-de-Nuits. The vines of the appellation are planted on a slight slope consisting of clay-siliceous soils on subsoils composed of limestone and white marl. The Grands Crus de Bonnes-Mares reveal fairly floral and woody aromas on the nose. They are very elegant and round, but also marked by extremely delicate tannins. These wines boast an exceptional aging potential.
